Romania Mission Trip
Romania Mission Trip November 7-17
Our mission work in Romania began in 1992. Communism had just falled and the country was open to the gospel.Since under Communism they were not allowed to build churches we met in houses that were open to us. These houses were filled with hungry hearted people. From that we began to buy vacant houses that could be turned into a church. We also raised money to buy land where churches could be build.
When we began the work I would take 100 people on two trips in November. We would have 50 on each trip. These people raised money to buy land and houses for churches. Each year we would take well over $100,000.00. The Lord has enabled us to take part in building 56 churches.
The ministry has expanded over the years. People did not have Bibles so we began buying Bibles in the Romanian language. We bought between $5,000 and $10,000 dollars worth of Bibles each year. These were giving out to families and sometime on thestreet.
We also worked with a medical clinic that started just after the fall of communism. We shipped contianers with medicine, medical supplies and clothing. Each year we give them some money to buy medicine.
Pastors have several churches but even then they cannot make enough to take care of their families. We began a Pastor's support fund. A lot of pastors recieve a check each month.
We also have a Widow's Fund. Thousands of dollars have been used to buy food and clothing for poor families.
In the spring we are taking work teams that do construction. We go in April and like to take at least 15 men. We stay for two weks and build a church.
Our work in November includes men, women, and young people from every walk of life. We minister in homes, schools, prisons and in churches. We have preaching services, teaching services for woman and studies for children.
Mission Trip Update
We thank you for your prayers and financial support for God's work in Romania. The Bibles were given to Romania people who have never had a Bible before. It was a great witness to tell people about God. God used us to share His love to a country of loss people. We went to churches, prisons, and homes where we were able to provide god's word along with clothes and food.
We felt your prayers as we served god in His work.
